London revisited

Back on solid ground

We’re back from our five day journey to past times. Our visit to London ended on thursday night when we got back. It was five days full of sentimentality and glimpses of past times. It was in a word – fun. We managed to visit all the places we set out to (and a few more). We met pretty much all the people we wanted to meet, so it was really a success. I’ve posted about 300 photos on my Flickr-account, I suggest you check some of them out if you are curious.

I did manage to get some shopping done while over there. One visit to the Apple Store and two visits to Nike Town resulted in new running gear including shoes, pants, shirt, socks, iPod nano and the new Nike+ iPod accessory. As you’ve probably understood, I’ve set a goal for myself to try and improve my running frequency, currently at zero times per week. I was on the lookout for new sneakers, so thats what got it all started. I will post some feedback on using the Nike+ accessory when I have had a chance to test it more frequently. I went on a five kilometer test run tonight and so far it works flawlessly.

We are closing in on re-exams and university starts in about a months time. Where did the summer go??? Anyway, I need to step it up a bit and start working on the summer courses in the next week in order not to be completely stressed out by the end of august.

So long…

I’m signing of for a few days now. You probably won’t be hearing from me until next weekend. We are leaving for London in (looks at watch) six and a half hours when our ”chauffeur” is picking us up. The bags are packed and we are good to go…(almost).

Anyway, take care and so long!

London Calling

Well, that’s just have to be the title. I’m sure I’ve used it before in the older blog but nevermind that.
We are leaving on saturday! Have managed to get a friend to drive us to the airport which saves us the hassle of timing a bus and also earning an extra half an hour of sleep.
I’ve also managed to get in touch with a few old colleagues (Starbucks) in London that I’m really looking forward to seeing again. It will surely be five days full of sentimentality. I’m bringing my PowerBook as I’ll probably be taking more photos than will be fitting on my small SD-card in the Canon.
Spent the weekend with my folks down in Nyköping. Saturday we went to a baptism of the baby of my cousin. It was a nice occasion with most of the family gathered. Excellent opportunity for me to get updated on what everyone is doing. Haven’t really had the opportunity to do that since I came back from London last year.
We also spent some time at sea since dad recently bought a new boat. We went on a long trip to Arkösund, a small village concentrated around a small harbour about half an hours boattrip from Nävekvarn were the boat is anchored.

Otherwise I’m taking it slow, enjoying the last days of free time that I’ll have this summer. Summercourses are starting again in a week or so and I need to start working on the Linear Algebra re-exam that I’ll probably be taking on the 17:th of august.
I’m also working on the website that I’ve spoken of earlier. It is basically done, mainly minor tweaks left now before we can launch it.

I was going to post a photo right now, but Flickr just went down. I’ve been getting more and more views of my photostream by the way. 2500+ views and steadily increasing…
