Drinking tea with a taste of the Thames

”There is something I wanted to tell you
It’s so funny you’ll kill yourself laughing
But then I, I look around
And I remember that I am alone…alone…for evermore…”

Oh my…that sounds sad doesn’t it? Well it happens to be the first lyrics of the song that I’m playing right now. I’m currently deeply buried in longings to go back to London.
Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been dreaming at night of the time I spent there…I soooo badly want to go back!

Right now I’m buried in work that I have brought upon myself. Mostly because I haven’t planned my time very cleverly. (Is that a word by the way?) I’ve got two assignments due friday night and I’m close to being finished with one of them. But I’ve got stuck and don’t quite know how to carry on.

Anyhow, the weeks have passed and my blog has been a bit neglected. I’m sorry…I don’t have the intention of leaving you out in the dark. It just have been a lot going on lately.

To connect with what I first wrote, it finally seems like we will be heading for London for a couple of days later in july! I can’t wait to go! We will be staying at a cousin of Anna’s boom smack in the middle of SoHo on Wardour Street. We’ll probably be flying from Arlanda with British Airways on the 22:nd of july.

I will keep you posted!!

Midsummer have passed and I’ve uploaded a bunch of photos to Flickr. In short it was the best midsummer since…well, since last year 🙂 (Spent that one in Hyde Park, London). Won’t be writing anymore about it…just check out the photos if you feel like!

All the bes! /Martin

Mysterious path

I found this beautiful path thorugh the forrest close to university. Went there today to take some photos. Feels like walking in the rainforrest with foliage covering the sky above you and sounds from birds chirping all around.

A blog-post a day keeps the (…) away

Yep, that’s my filosofy.
Oh my, its one o clock and I’m still sitting here in my underwear. Why you might wonder…well It’s to darn hot to be wearing anything other than that. Anna is down in the garden and sunbathing, I might be joining her soon. Although there are still a few hundred millions of interesting photos on Flickr to look at, so that may take a while.
I’v become quite the Flickr-addictâ„¢ over the past month and I’ve just recently upgraded my account to a Pro-membership, although I don’t quite know how I willl manage to upload 2GB’s worth of photos a month! But it was quite cheap anyhow and now I have an excellent location to back-up my photo-archive at.

Waiting for the new computer to arrive soon… They started delivering in june according to reliable sources and june is almost over…well, half-way through anyway! Especially looking forward to the new 20 inch widescreen lcd that comes with the computer – it it more than welcome!

Well, I think it’s time to put on the beach-outfit and join Anna down in the garden.

All the best!

As good as it gets

I believe I’ve said this before, but Coffee Cup is the closest one can get to Starbucks, when there is no Starbucks around. Nice environment and friendly baristas makes for a great experience!
Dropped by for a vanilla latte when we where in Gothenburg shopping last saturday.

As I’ve posted before, we are now back in Uppsala and enjoying the summer the best we can. Midsummer is coming up next week and there will most likely be a gathering of old friends at an yet unannounced location.

Went to IKEA today and got some new flowers and pots for our flat. We also looked into buying an elevated bed to free up some floor-space in the living-/bedroom although I’m ot quite pleased with the design of the bed that IKEA has to offer. So there most likely will be no investment in that in the near future…
